What I want to share with you today, is that I just realised the importance of surrounding ourselves with like-minded positive people.
A few weeks ago, I was sharing with a good friend, who is also a woman entrepreneur. I shared about my disappointment of not being able to host our SME Women events in 2020 due to a national lockdown. She proceeded to ask me why I don’t consider hosting a virtual event, especially since it’s been a trend in this global pandemic we are facing. And when she said that immediately I was up for the challenge and it then it came to me that I now also have the opportunity to do a global virtual event, which means that we have the potential to tap into a broader global audience. And it’s been my vision for last +/-5 years to host a global audience of women entrepreneurs and aspiring women entrepreneurs. So, thank God for good friends who can drop good seed into the soil of our hearts, that once dropped, will be planted deep within our hearts and with time will produce a harvest after its own kind.
My business vision as Candice Van Wyk is, “to be a global influential leader and catalyst in growing small and medium sized businesses and this vision will start on the 22 August 2020”.
Your Network=Your Net worth
My question to you today is who are the people that you spend the most time with? I recently heard that we are the average of the top 5 people that we spend the most time with. So I challenge you, carefully consider the top 5 people in your life and ensure that if you are not currently surrounded by the best top 5, then find these people online and spend time learning from them online, reading their material, listening to their teaching and training audio and video material.
So whichever areas you need further development in, find people that you can learn from. And yes, sometimes it will mean investing our time and financial resources to achieve greater results and therefore greater success.
To date I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of rands into my personal development. And I do not regret one cent of it. Why, because every cent spent has propelled me forward.
