Before we can plan for Success, we need to know what Success means to us? Firstly Success to me is living what I believe I was born to do! This however can’t be achieved without a plan. And a plan includes goal-setting, so that we can measure success at various milestones or goals achieved.

The way you approach goal-setting will determine whether you are able to attain your goals. Most people agree that goals are important, but less than five percent of people write down goals or have action plans for attaining them. One would things that goal setting is such an easy task to do, yet not many people have their short-term, medium-term and long-term goals clearly defined.

You might want to set weekly goals, quarterly goals, annual goals, and even 3-year, 5-year and 10-year goals, but start with the end in mind and work your way down. It’s important to see the DREAM first, as you determine your long-term, medium-term and short-term goals. 

Consider the SMART Acronym when you list your Goals. Our Goals need to be:

S- SPECIFIC

M- MEASURABLE

A- ATTAINABLE

R- RELEVANT

T- TIME-BOUND
